wallet cases seem to give the best protection but why aren't they popular? Are they bulky or easily damaged?

I would think it's down to the bulk. Most people who I see with smartphones have the basic bumper style cases that don't protect the screen.

I bought the slim Kavaj wallet case which is really nice leather. The only problem was the flap didn't sit flat around the back.

I have the kavaj Tokyo and it's a fantastic case. Very minimal as well. If you want more protection I've also heard that the cm4 noted above is great.

+1 for the Tokyo. I had it on my 6 and liked it so much, I got a new one for my 6S. I bought it as an alternative case but it ended up staying on my iPhone all the time. haha.

But ohhh...that's nice. I like that it can hold 3 cards + that SIM pocket. And it covers the whole perimeter of the phone. And also has a decent lip.

Ouch! Stop twisting my arm! Fine...I'll get one.
