iphone warranty 1st gen?

I had a question about the warranty of a first gen iphone. The crystal on the phone is cracked and not the lcd and the warranty is up tomorrow and wanted to change it out at apple, but I was wondering if the warranty would be void because of that.

If you didn't buy AppleCare and didn't buy after January 2008, your warranty has already run out, anyway.
