Basically, i have an Iphone 3G and i have a wifi set up at home and i know that it does not charge you for using that.
But, if i go out say, to work? and use my Iphone there for internet it comes up with the 3G icon in the top corner and I assume it is using that to connect to the internet? So my question is, does that charge me?
I don't want to think i'm using free internet and see an extortionate phone bill at the end of the month.
I've looked on o2 websites and everything, and nothing seems to tell me, which is worrying because maybe they want me have no information so i get charged!
Also, i am in the UK.

well in the U.S. all the data plans are unlimited, but if you are using the 3G, or edge network, it is counting against their network, so i guess that it would charge you.

In the UK all tariffs include unlimited data so you do not need to worry, just don't turn on data roaming as this is something different.

Aha, Thank you very much. That was the answer i was looking for :)

and the reason i didn't call customer services is because i didn't want to spend all that time on the phone when i probably either wouldn't be able to understand the person on the other line, or it would take around 10 minuites just to get talking to one person.. who would put me onto another person.. etc. I ask on a forum, i should get an answer without hassle :)
