I have a "5 series" LCD and i've looked at "7 series" as well, and it seems like neither has the capacity to produce really bright whites. These screens always seem to have at least a faint yellow haze. Is that just the nature or the displays?
I don't think iPhones were ever meant to be professional Photoshop workstations so, the fact that the "white" on the iPhone display isn't perfect shouldn't surprise anyone

RIght. And in addition. I'm sick and tired of this series 5 vs. series 7 crap. I've held both side by side and have seen absolutely...NO difference whatsoever. But again, THIS...IS...A...PHONE!!! So it doesn't produce a perfect white...who cares. 🙄
Jeez, this is like the grainy MBP display issue. Yeah I sorta see it on mine, but do I care? No. It looks way better than the Macbook's screen regardless. My iPhone screen is 10x better than any other screen I've ever seen on a cell phone.

Mine has yellow 'blotchiness' to it... but whenever someone sees it, they say it's the best display they've ever seen on a phone.... end of story. It's not worth being uber-critical.
Spare a thought for us in the UK, no iPhone, zilcho iPhone, zero iPhone, nada iPhone, not even iPhone adverts, nothing, this is just saddening me now 🙁
