Every night before I go to bed, I turn the wifi and blutooth off, yet every morning when the phone alarm goes off and I check it, the wifi is on?

What is going on?

how are you "turning WiFi off" ?

1 swiping up to get Control Center, then touching WiFi

2 Settings/WiFi/ and swiping the control to off

1 disengages current WiFi network, temporarily, but leaves WiFi still switched on
2 will definitely turn off all WiFi and will not turn back on without you actually going back into Settings/WiFi and turning WiFi back on

Number one. Thank you for the very clear reply. Will now use number two. Out of curiosity, any guess how long from time disengaged until WiFi reconnects in number one?

As I recall, it will turn itself back on every day at 5am. That's most likely why you're finding it turned back on, though there are other events (listed in the link above) that will also cancel it.
