My iPhone XR used to show up in the Finder when plugged into my Mac, but now it doesn't. My wife's iPhone and our iPads show up, backup and so forth, but not my XR. It does backup to iCloud (I checked iCloud), but nothing shows what's going on in the Finder. Suggestions? I tried a hard reset and that didn't help either.

I called Apple. The answer is in Finder/Preferences/IOS Devices. I had to Allow the computer to recognize the phone again. Now all is well. I love how good Apple customer service is.
