iPhone with 3G on T-Mobile- The latest news

Hi all!

It seems that T-Mobile is doing some experiments with it's networks, and some unlocked iPhones are getting 3G (in the USA).

I'm not so sure what's going on, I think T-MO is deploying UTMS on it's PCS bands (as opposed to the split AWS bands)

I hope so. Last time I was in the US, T-Mobile made sense as a pre-paid sim but the best I could get on my iPhone was edge.

Any particular reason they went with split AWS bands rather than what (literally) the rest of the world is/was doing?

That's all they could afford and got left with.
