Honestly, I think the most we'll see out of Apple is a 3.7 or 3.8 in screen in the same iPhone 4 housing. They won't go bigger for a few reasons:I would not mind the screen getting a bit larger, but not a larger form factor. Like most people were saying, make the face of the phone more of a "screen," Apple could make it a 4 inch screen pretty easily without making it unnaturally large. I don't really have issues with the screen size, but there is times when I could see it being a benefit to be larger. As long as Apple doesn't go crazy, the likes of the EVO and Droid X, I will be happy. I has to still fit in my pocket, thats what my iPad is for.![]()
- The square edges of the Iphone 4 won't translate nicely into a larger phone
- A larger iPhone will not fit in the thousands of aftermarket products produced specifically for the iPhone shape: You'll notice that the squared-off iPhone 4 had to go slightly narrower to still fit in all of the existing docks.
- Steve Jobs would have to eat crow announcing a larger screen when he said no one was really interested in a such a thing.
