iPhone with Car in-dash Navigation System

Anyone have any experience with iPhone integration with in dash navigation systems? Curious if anyone has experience with how they integrate both with the iPhone as a "phone" and as an "ipod".

I'm looking to buy one for a VW 2008 Jetta.

I've considered these two in particular, but am open to any other suggestions that have worked for people:

My iPhone works good with my Eclipse AVN-6610 nav/DVD unit. I use the Video inputs on the AVN6610 to play movies from my iPhone on show it on my head unit and also my Eclipse headrest monitors. Here's some pics. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/832238
