With the new iPad Air announcement, we now see that Apple is adopting TouchID on power button. This is not new in Android world (in fact, it's a lower cost option vs under display sensors), but it's a first for Apple.

With this in mind, now it's possible for Apple to make an edge to edge screen iPhone without FaceID, no? Apple keeps pushing their prices up, but the still need to fill the gaps on the lower end. Currently, there's the $399 SE and a large gap to the $599 XR. Would be interesting if Apple can slot in a new model with the edge to edge display (maybe with a teardrop design or smaller notch for the front facing camera), and with TouchID on the power button.

Or, maybe Apple will integrate TouchID again into the whole iPhone lineup?

Kuo told us about this in December 2019 and again in January 2020.

The real question is, will this phone be priced at $499 or $599 to replace the XR? If it follows the iPad Air formula, it seems likely the phone will have A14/A15 and priced competitively.

I like the idea to see an Air style iphone.
with ? it would be the right time to introduce the small 12 with touch id power button and axe the notch
