I usually charge my phone with the USB cable connected to my computer. But recently, I've been using the charger that plugs into the wall. When I wanted to sync my iPhone to my iMac this morning, my computer does not recognize that my phone is connected. My phone is not charging while plugged into the computer, and iTunes doesn't think it's there.

I've tried swapping the USB cables, and restarting my phone, but it doesn't work. I have a regular 2G iPhone. Can anyone tell em what I should do?

Thanks, Walter

same problem with 10.6 (10A432) and 3GS

Their T/S guide doesn't really help. it says to restart and make sure you've got the latest version of itunes installed🙄

Yeah, but it's pretty much all you can do. If none of that works, you can try to get it into DFU restore or Recovery Mode and see if it gets recognized.

Nope, itunes still doesn't recognize the iphone with two different cables

it recognized my shuffle through the same usb port though... hmmmm
