iPhone wont open aps after softwre update!

iPhone 3gs. had for over a year, worked great till now.
just update the OS software to v3.1.3

all apps that came with the phone work fine.
all apps that I have added to the phone will not open.
I click on the apps and it tries to open, then jumps back to my iPhone home screen???

Why is this happening??...help!

has anyone else got this problem???😕

There are a number of ways to fix this.

Try adding an app.

If that doesn't work, deauthorize and authorize your computer in iTunes and resync.

It was so weird how that happened.
