Im trying to do a backup however my computer will not recognize it. I've also gone and tried to plug it up to a windows computer, same issue. Went and rebooted, nope. Is there anything I can do?

now... I'm jailbroken, is it wise to do that though? what measures do I take to at least make it look unjailbroken?
I personally wouldn't bother about hiding the fact its Jailbroken, especially for the Genius' in Australia. I told them I wanted to buy a product from them, the said product was to be used differently than what it was intended to be used for. I told them I want to buy it for Jailbreaking reasons and they replied, "Look, we have a 14 day return policy, and you can return back the item for any reason if you are not satisfied with it."

to confirm, does it not recognise u're phone
or does it give a sync error?
can you place your phone in dfu, with a different usb cable and see if iTunes recognises an 'iPhone in recovery mode'
you could always have tiny umbrella running in the background on use mac to flip the phone out of recovery mode

It doesnt sync to itunes, it doesnt sync to tiny umbrella either... DFU doesnt show up either
Did you once have photoalbums+ installed? then maybe you uninstalled it? There was a bug in one of the versions that I suffered the same issue with. I simply installed the newest version of photoalbums+ thru the beta repo and it would sync to my computer once again.
