Verison iPhone 4 16GB and I sad update, to 4.2.7

That means you've downloaded the wrong OS. Did you download it through iTunes or another site?

Be sure that your iTunes is up-to-date and that you're updating through iTunes and not pointing to a third-party ISPW.

No im downloading straight from itunes and unless its downloading the wrong OS then i have no idea, itunes is up to date.

To the OP: try using a different USB port and if that doesn't work try a different computer. You can always take the phone to the genius bar and they will update it for you.

To the OP: try using a different USB port and if that doesn't work try a different computer. You can always take the phone to the genius bar and they will update it for you.

will that require me to sink with that computer? will i need to download from a backup?
