iPhone world wide warranty

I am currently in France and I consider buying a iPhone 3GS here and have it unlocked in the store and bring it home with me.

I am wondering if Apple´s world wide warranty would be valid even if I take the iPhone back to Denmark where I come from?

No, I believe the iPhone warranty will only be valid in the country in which it was purchased. It does not have a world wide warranty.
