Would you pay $100 extra for a 512GB option? Considering the cost difference across 24-months or 30-months would be minimal and most would after 12-months upgrade their device anyways.

I upgraded my iPad Air to the iPad Pro 10.5 512GB and felt it was worth the cost. What are your thoughts?

If they did have that option, it'll be $200 more, not $100 so around extra $10/mo. For a phone, no. While I will always get highest capacity for my iPads, I just don't need that much storage on my phone. Granted, I don't bother with shooting 4K video.

That's what I did with the iPad Pro/Mini, maxing out the storage capacity. I tried that with the MacBook Pro TB but opted for the 512GB SSD instead because the cost was way to out of hand to go for the 2TB SSD option. I went with the same for the MacBook 12 inch with 512GB SSD also.

Even if it were $50 instead of the expected $200, I still wouldn't get it.

I simply can't use that much storage. Anything that big (videos), I upload to the cloud and stream it if necessary.

who keeps +2gb clips on their phone? put that on a external ssd like a normal person. u can even lay the 4k content on ur phone, it lacks a 4k screen...

Nope. I use iCloud so 64 is plenty for me.
cloud is great for countries with big data limits or unlimited data plans. for us in germany a 3GB plan is already very expensive and the biggest one my carrier offers for my plan is 6GB which is way too expensive imo. so i prefere the space on my phone. although i still think the X should've been 128gb but i guess most people wouldn't upgraded from 128 to 256 but they will going from 64 to 256

512gb for a phone is overkill for most people.

I certainly don't need it.

For most 128Gb would be more then enough, but when they see the fun of 4K 60fps movies, they might fill that 512Gb quite easily :)
