It's been said the Apple Store iPhone app is a more reliable way to buy a new iPhone, but have found that to be a mixture for the iPhone 7 and 7s. I know a lot of people had trouble with credit checks and upgrade availability, so paying full price if one can afford should help.
Will try both this year given the huge demand at 3:01am, or a little earlier. Looking to get two, but may be sold out by the time I add the second one!
