Yea I think it looks great from all of the hands on videos and pictures I’ve seen. It’ll be fun getting to know the OS again as it will definitely be different than what we are used to. The poster on reddit also had some highly praise for Face ID saying it worked flawlessly in low light and he didn’t have to bring it up or necessarily focus on it to unlock.

wow that looks awesome. I hadn't seen that feature yet, just the swipe up and hold half way method.

spotify is the best looking app in that group since it blacks out the sides of the notch:p

You don’t actually have to make the semicircle he does in the video, it’s designed to work just swiping left/right at the home bar.

The OP said that the semicircle just felt natural at the time.

Looks like the parabolic path kind of mimics the way the app cards zoom out and zoom back in on the screen, so at least visually it kind of follows the action along a bit more closely, which is perhaps why it might be used by some.

Very nifty. The keynote showed it sans 'bounce', as most are aware. One of the best new gestures imo.

Also notice Spotify's black background creates virtual bezels on the top/bottom....I actually think it looks dated in this video...maybe they'll reduce these virtual bezels & make more use of the screen in future updates...You don't buy an X to have prior-gen virtual bezels that encroach further than they need to.

that shows the location icon next to the time.. iirc, i've only seen time displayed there so far.

Nope, I've seen it there before in other shots of it. Here's one from a few days go.

It’s funny you say that, but it’s only doing that because the app obviously doesn’t use the proper API’s and UIKit to support an aspect ratio beyond 16:9. That is the only reason you see black bars on top and bottom. (There was an “iPhone X out in the wildl photo not long ago of the same thing happening with Pokémon Go.)

So in other words. It only looks that way because it’s not updated.
