So in order to order from Apple, We have to purchase using a different line on our accounts. If I want to gift the phone, and not have it connect to my account do I need to open the box and remove the sim or??? It will be a Verizon phone but the person receiving the phone has T-Mobile (I don't think that matters)

A Verizon phone will arrive with the Sim card pre-embedded. You can simply just remove it if you want to.

is there anyway to give it unopened?... de-activating the sim from the account perhaps?
