My iPhone X's battery that was purchased this February has 94% maximum capacity already. Am I doing something wrong? I usually charge it when it reaches 15% and charge it up to 100%

Mine is at 99%, bought on the Saturday of launch weekend. It's been at 99% since I had access to check. I don't think it's possible with iOS software to charge it wrong.

I purchased mine on the Saturday of launch weekend last year and then activated it the following day. Back in the spring, my battery percent was at 96%, then in August went to 91%, which is where it is now. While I'm not sure why this is, I suspect it may have to do with the fact I've been using the 12W iPad charger to charge it daily. That, and I also do fully power the phone off for a significant portion of the day during the business week. So it gets turned off and back on - sometimes multiple times - most days.

Mine is at 98% purchased last November. I don’t let it go down to 0% except once, and I charge it every other day or every day depending on how much I have left when I go to bed.

Recently sold mine that I purchased last Nov. 100% battery health. Basically had it wireless charging whenever I could, at work, when I got home, overnight. Rarely ever ran the battery down.

I was very disappointed with my iPhone 7. After one year the capacity was 86%.

Maybe it's harmful to charge the iPhone with the iPad charger?

I’ve had mine 8 months and show 99% battery left.

I’m also a pretty heavy user and pick up my phone probably 70 times a day with 6+ hours of actual use on it daily.

I sometimes leave it plugged in while I’m working at my desk most of the day but that’s only out of habit not because I need to charge it.

I can go a complete 12 hours approximately a day on my X without my battery running dry or needing to be charged and get to about 10 to 20% by the end of the night.

I put it on my Mophie quick wireless charger all night.

With some of you reporting 100% battery left after a year that has me wondering how accurate this is actually. Or if it’s just coming down to each individual usage varying.

If the figures are correct then it may mean some batteries have better life than others and lifespan can vary.

I could be wrong but today’s batteries should not degrade or matter if you charge then at 20% or 60%, it should not matter or have any effect on how long the battery life will actually last.

What charger do you use?

I had my 6s Plus replaced on 12/31/17, and by last month my battery life is at 89%. I used the 12 watt iPad charger, and I usually needed to charge it 2 times a day. I think the iPad charger (and any fast charger) subjects the battery to more wear and tear. I recently upgraded to the 8 Plus and am exclusively using slow 5 watt wireless charging. If I were to use wired charging, I would just use the 5 watt charger that came in the box.

Had my 8 plus for 10 months and it was at 96% when I sold it and I only used the iPad charger so no.

My iPhone X will be a year old on December 3rd. Right now it’s at 89% battery health. I do use my phone a lot, rarely play games on it, but this doesn’t seem normal. My dad’s 6S Plus is almost 3 years old is at 88%.

Chatted with Apple tech support, they ran a diagnostic and basically told me that my phone was ok and in perfect working order.
