Hey guys, did a search but couldn’t find what I was looking for which might be an isolated problem. A few hours ago my phone suddenly died, I tried turning it back on and it said the phone was completely dead. I plugged it in, it turned on and it says I’m still at 46%. I unplugged it, used it for a while and it did it again. This time it said I was at 10%. Every time it restarts it jumps to a different % and keeps dying randomly. Anyone else with this issue?

Strange you'd be seeing this with a new phone, but could be battery calibration. Let it discharge until it turns off, then charge it fully. Do that once or twice. Do not remove the phone from charger until fully charged. If you still see it, could be bad battery.

Update - talked to Apple support via chat and they ran a self diagnosis and the battery showed up as failing on their end. Should get a new phone tomorrow via FedEx
