Hello all,
This post is in reference to the black screen (unresponsive) issue found on the iPhone X. On Friday night my iPhone X magically died with a black screen . after doing some digging, I found a few of the three-button hard reset fixes, Youtube guides, internet articles. Nothing worked. Plugging in to iTunes did nothing. I went to my local Apple Store to which they replaced my iPhone X under warranty.
The iPhone was a 1 year old 256 GB Silver running iOS 12.1. The below notes are from the Apple employee's findings. I'm still a bit curious of what caused this. Hardware failure? A12 went nuts. Battery? Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?
Issue: Customer reports device will not power on.
Steps to Reproduce: Observed at bar.
Hard reset had no results, connected to kg power adapter and hard reset, no power.
Unit not recognized in iTunes, can not DFU.
Customer has backup, understands risk of data loss during repair, auth repair.
Cosmetic Condition: No visible damage.
No liquid damage evident, external LCI not tripped.
