All,

I am just curious as to how you have your screen brightness settings adjusted. Do yo have it at 100%? Do you leave auto-brightness on?

What are your settings?

I have True Tone on and from sunset to sunrise I have night shift on. I leave it to auto brightness.

However I can no longer see an auto brightness toggle? Has this moved/changed with ios11? Or is this because I’ve now got True Tone?

It is in the Accessibility settings.

Auto brightness but I find myself adjusting it down as necessary. True tone is on too.

True tone and auto brightness. Apple is suggesting you use auto-brightness to avoid potential issues with the screen. I would listen to them.

I like mine bright, tru tone off, set at about 90%. This seems to eat my battery quicker so I'm not so happy about that.

True tone on, auto brightness on, night shift 9:00pm-7:00am.

I used to always leave my brightness on my phones 75%-100% but during my run with the 7 I started using auto brightness and never looked back.

Auto brightness isn't very bright, my iphone 7 plus is brighter. If you switch it off and ramp it up the X gets super bright but I guess this would come at a cost to the screen life or risk screen burn?

Currently 3/4 brightness with truetone on and tweaked with colour filter adjustments to be cooler blue.

I have auto brightness off at 75% and true tone on. The screen looks great like this. Hopefully there will be no burn-in. I don't watch movies on it or leave it on with a static screen for a long time.

I have auto brightness turned on so most of the time the brightness is at 50% or lower, unless I walk out into sunlight. I also use true tone.

I guess there is a good reason Apple moved auto brightness option to accessibility. Most average Joe/Jane will never look there.

Food for thought.
