I've noticed on at least two occasions over the past week that photos I've taken with the stock camera (pressed camera button on lock screen, hit the shutter button, saw the screen flash) fail to show up in my gallery immediately afterwards. The first time it was just one photo, the second time it was three.

This is really terrible behaviour. Anybody else seeing this happen or know how to fix it?

I actually remember one instance where I experienced what you are describing.

I was in Chicago November 7 for a concert. I left the show after it was over about 11pm. While waiting for the El to stop at a station right next to the venue, I took a couple of pictures of the venue sign(Aragon Ballroom) from the outdoor train platform. I always use the volume buttons for shutter release. It was a pretty cold night and I recall about low 30s or high 20s.

I got back to Miami and looked for the pictures and they weren’t on my phone.

I’m wondering if the cold played a part...

No problems with previous iPhone either--only started noticing with iPhone X. Both times were at room temp, so not sure that temperature matters.
