Hey all, i've had my Iphone X since launch day and I am honestly not sure if this is an issue or not or just something I was late to notice.

When plugging in my Iphone X to charge, it kind of stops charging for a milisecond then starts to charge again. I dunno if this is easy to understand or not but I took a little video to show what I am meaning. Please excuse the snoring dog haha. So I guess my question is, is this normal behavior? Or should I be concerned about this?

*Edit*
I should mention that I am using the fast charging, apples usb-c to lightning cable and all. Also, I seeing this happen with my bf's Iphone 8 plus as well. But again I am unsure if this is normal. Or is it the Iphone noticing that it's a fast charging power cord?

Does this just happen once when you plug in, or it keeps on happening while you are charging? Does it happen every time?

It looks odd. Has it always done this from the first day you got it? What happens if you wiggle the lightning cable?

Personally, I would reset the iPhone to see if that cures it.

Check cables and bricks before assuming its the phone. Any others you can try? I know you're using Apple cables, but they could be the problem. I usually get strange stop start charging issues with various cables and bricks. Apple stuff usually works well though.

Mine does this too, I think its normal. I use my 87w adapter and apple usb-c to lightning

Ahhhh - I didn't see in the original post that this was being fast charged. Maybe it's a quirk of fast charging...

OP - you can easily verify this by charging with the original 5W power adapter and USB-to-lightning cable supplied with the phone.

I'll try with the original charger. I had edited my post to mention it was happening to my BF's Iphone 8+ using the same charger as well. And it only does happen on the initial plug. it does not disconnect at all while its charging.

Mine does it too. Under 50% charge will beep once. Over 50% charge will beep twice. I read somewhere it was normal.

Mine frequently does this too (but not every time) and I'm also using fast charging via the 29W power brick. I never used the 5W power brick provided in the box so I can't comment about that.
But anyway it look like it's normal behavior as we are now 4 people on this thread having this "thing".
