Hey y'all! Super excited about Tuesday but I've been thinking about the actual usable screen real estate on the 5.8" OLED model. At the rumored resolution of 1125 X 2436 what is the actual screen area available in square inches?

The iPhone 7 Plus at 5.5" diagonal with a 16:9 aspect ratio is 12.925 square inches.

Thanks!

12.8 sq. in.

If you have basic high school math skills, you should be able to calculate this.

It's not how big it is, it is how you you use it!

I must not have basic high school math skills, thanks anyway!

And by the way, a 2436 X 1125 5.85” display is 13.065” sq. inches of screen real estate. Factor in the notch along with the rounded edges and the grand total is 12.77sq.inches to go against the 8 Plus’ 12.895 sq. Inches. 1% less usable space on the X.

Yup, there's a million threads about this 1% difference. It's quite silly.
