My iPhone X is a month out of warranty and the battery capacity is at 88%, if I replace the battery myself with an OEM battery will Apple still replace the display module as I'm experiencing the ghost touch issues caused by the display module.

note: I've replaced many parts in iPhones over the years and the only reason I'm thinking of doing the battery on my phone myself is because I can do it for half the price Apple charge.

Yes, Apple will. I had one replaced out of warranty and display module replacement for ghost issue was free of charge.

Also had the battery replaced at the same time. Paid for the battery replacement. My battery was showing 85% and it was practically annoying so I had it replaced. My only regret is I should have gone in December and it would have been $20.

Sorry i might not have written my original post in the way that i meant, what i meant was if i change the battery myself along with the waterproof seal will apple still replace the display or will they refuse because i’d changed the battery myself an not had them or a apple authorised service center replace the battery

I do not know. Why don't you get the display module repaired first? Replace the battery at a later date.
They are repaired in the store and it usually takes about an hour.

As stupid as it may sound I didn't actually think of doing it that way round lol
I'm going to arrange an appointment at my local Apple Store. Thank you
