i am really enjoying all the new stuff and interactions X brings.

But I have a serious pet peeve, installing an app requires a double click. Why? Hey I already acknowledged I want it, you check my face, just download..... why the extra clicks? Very annoying

So any chance I missed a setting to turn that off?

I believe it is so there is no chance of an inadvertent purchase. It could be very easy to mistakingly hit a buy button and oops, now you purchased a $10 app you didn't want.

I will admit, it is a tad annoying, but how often are you downloading apps anyways? I feel like the amount of times its needed makes the annoyance not as bad.

It’s no different to having to put your password in or use Touch ID on the other iPhones though when making purchases on the App Store or iTunes.

This. I also thought it was a little silly the first time, but quickly realised it was far better for my own good. And like snatefinch stated, you download occasionally.
