Why does it concern you how others interpret the new phone? If you like the phone, that is all that matters in your world. Don't worry about the rest. People disagree sometimes and that is ok.
It's become a hot topic on most forms of Social Media. It's rather inescapable and quite topical. I think @ops post is astute and should be well received.
I agree that it is a hot topic at the moment. The OP is certainly entitled to his opinion. I just don't think he should let it bother him, that others see the phone differently.
I clicked just to see how dysmorphia was used in the context of an inanimate object.
The manic in me:

He didn't say he was nor did I get that impression. It seemed more like satire. Breathe, it will be ok.
Nothing wrong here on my end. I am not mad or irritated. No need to tell me to breathe.
He never indicated that it bothers him, it's just a humourous observation.
