So the first reviews are popping out on YouTube so i tough it may be a good idea to open a thread where to share links to them.

This is the one I enjoyed the most so far:

Please excuse me if another thread like this already exists :)

I don’t know that I would exactly call them reviews. He’s more like previews. They all took place during a special event held by Apple in New York.

Nice

Nice review. But I disagree, FaceID does not have an extra step than Touch ID. Looking at the screen is something you were going to do anyway.
The way I see it, you're right, but there are times where it's less convenient.

Example- college student like myself is in a lecture, and wants to send a text without the professor seeing. With TouchID, I could discreetly unlock with the phone on my inner thigh under my desk and text with my one thumb without looking, and nobody would know. With FaceID, I'd have to somehow point the camera at my face (impossible from under a desk) or just unlock the old fashioned way- which is less convenient.

Of course, the easier solution is not to text in class!

There was a thread earlier today (I will try to find it) where a girl posted a video of her unlocking her iPhone X at extreme angles using FaceID. You do not need to hold it up in front of your face.

You are texting without looking at the screen?

As a former professor, let me tell you...we always know when you're doing something you shouldn't. :)

Yes, and I've gotten damn good at it too

I'm sure you're right, but for peace of mind, I enjoy thinking that I'm being stealthy!
