How are apps that require finger print going to allow users to log in? Specifically Chase,Fidelity, Etrade etc?

this was never a question, because of the way the authentication is implemented into the apps.
Correct, the API handles which to use, touchID or FaceID. all the developer does is ask for authentication and iOS takes care of using the proper one

I prefer to wait and see. My 8+ is doing its job very well. We will see soon.
I mean, they have explicitly described why it will work. It’s not like waiting to see how Face ID will work with different faces. It’s literally in the software that authentication will be interchangeable between Touch ID and Face ID.

What ever you say. It all sound good, I prefer to wait a year. I have read the same information from Apple and it all sounds great but until we see it working in the real world, day to day . . . . Well we will know soon.

yea I'm a little skeptical. The apps i mention require an additional thumb print verification after the app is opened.
