So I’ve been doing some guesswork (to tide me over until tomorrow)
Last year I preordered a Jet Black iPhone 7 + from Apple, I paid outright using Apple Pay and had a confirmation email from Apple at 0803hrs.
Now from what I remember there were no Jet Black models available for immediate shipping on release day.
Last year preorders opened on 09/09/16, I had an initial shipping date of 1-2 weeks (26/09/16-03/10/16). The phone actually arrived on 21/09/16 after being shipped on 19/09/16. Now I would imagine I was amongst the first batch of preorders for this model.
Now this year all four models (Black/Silver/64GB/256GB) will have at least some stock from the get go. There are also less models for Apple (Foxconn) to produce meaning they’ll likely be more of each model.
My point from all of this is... if you can get an order confirmation from Apple by 0805hrs I would be surprised if your shipping date was any longer than 3 weeks after 03/11/17. I would imagine if you get your email by 0803hrs you’ll be looking at no longer than a weeks wait, of course all of this is just guesswork but it’s based of a mess of a launch last year so perhaps things won’t be as bad as we think should you be ready to go first thing tomorrow!
