iPhone X: How to Turn Phone Off?

    On every other iPhone, you hold the power button down then swipe. How do you turn it off on the X? Thanks.

    Side button and one of the volume keys. Volume up, I think.

    It's screenshot if you just tap it. If you hold, the power down menu appears.

    nope.
    press & hold either one of the volume buttons for power down screen.

    screenshot is press&release siriButton/volume up button.

    Hold down the side button and one of the volume buttons (basically squeeze the phone). You get this screen. Slide to power off.

    If you hit cancel, it’ll still require the passcode next time you unlock the phone. That action is designed to quickly turn off biometric verification.

    I didn’t read them, but someone on a podcast said all the new gestures were in the booklet.

    there's an app called Tips which is pre-installed on the X.. (in the Extras folder)
    check it out.
    it answers many of these types of questions..

    No one reads instructions, that would be too easy and ruin the sense of adventure.:confused:

    Go to Settings > General, scroll to the bottom and select Shut Down.

    Just to be different.
