IPhone X, iPad and receiving calls

anybody else have this problem—If my ipad is attached to power cable, when I get a call it vibrates on the iphone(per my settings), but just continues to ring and ring and ring on iPad until I remove the power cord. I can answer call on iPhone without a problem. iPad just continues ringing.
