Hi I just purchased an iphone X but I feel it's pretty hot when I'm using it. When I stop using, it keeps warm and cool down after 5-10 mins. I have a samsung edge s7 which gets hot like the X and I'm not sure if my X has problem or the design makes it hot.
The face ID is very interesting but I feel weird when I have to look at the phone and then swipe up from the bottom, not anywhere in the middle. Then it's not faster or more convenient than the touch ID.
Besides that, my hands are pretty small, and the X is heavier than the 6s and the s7, so if I use the phone by one hand and keep it balanced and secured in the middle of my hand, my thumb has to stretch to reach the swipe line.
Personally, I don't care much about the notch because I don't often watch videos, but I really don't like the rounded corners and the swipe line at the bottom of the screen, especially when I'm reading.
I have an iphone 6s purchased in Germany 2 yrs ago and it still works so so great, I really love it but I still purchased an X honestly because of the hype, the new design, animojis... now I really feel unsecured about this phone. Maybe I'm used to my 6s and like it so much, I don't feel the X is really impressive, and with that pretty high price, I expect more from it.
I intended to buy an international version of iphone X, and after researching on this forum, I know I should take the Verizon phone instead of TMo. I wanted to exchange before I unboxed the X but I still gave it a try and thought I would keep it because the phone looks very nice with no scratch.
Now the only issue is it's pretty hot so if I want to make an exchange, I don't know if I can ask for a Verizon one? All apple stores in my area are out of stock today, and they told me to call back and check everyday 🙁
