Hello. Unfortunately my initial post was not well received but I am curious on your thoughts if Apple will introduce a Jet Black version of the iPhone X ?

After a year with my iPhone 7, no – it marks too easily, despite how nice the finish is

Greasy fingerprints all over in all their glory? Mm.. naah. No thanks.

I love my jet black 7 plus, but the case I use (and have used since I bought it almost a year ago) has left some weird markings on the back. They’re not scratches, but they’re also not coming off...

What? The Jet Black iPhone 7 is aluminum. iPhone X is made of glass and is "jet black" in nature. They can't make a jet black iPhone X out of glass.

What does adding a glossy layer to anything create?
Adding clear epoxy to a satin or dull surface will make it glossy and shiny like jet black.

With a glass back over basically a black phone it will look like a jet black phone. So no apple won't make a jet black because its already going to be glossy like jet black But the glass will be more durable as far as scratches than aluminum.

still rocking my jetblack iPhone, naked ofcourse. Best grip iPhone ever made by Apple.

And those scratches, yeah, you can see them from about 4 inches under a 200 Watt lightbulb.
My iPhone is a working tool, not a porcelain figurine ;)

The Space Grey iPhone X is actually black, so a jet black would be basically the same.

Fingerprints will also be a problem on the Spay Gray iPhone X due to the glass.

I rather have some fingerprints on the back of my phone, then staring at The Notch, non stop ;)

edit: oeps, I allready made this comment earlier this morning in this same topic

sorry, I'll let myself out.. I know my way :p

I don’t understand the hate for the jet black iPhone (my favorite color Apple has ever made for the iPhone besides the storm trooper iPhone 3GS). Space Grey is by the the worst color Apple ever created. It so dull and ugly. It’s different on the MacBooks and looks good, but the phone looks terrible. The issue I have with the X being Space Grey, is yeah sure the back looks like jet black, but the side will have have dull grey finish that looks freaking terrible.

I had that problem with a rubbery UAG case on my matte black. It left what looked like scuffs or grease marks in a pattern on the back of the iPhone that matched the honeycomb pattern from the case. I found a gentle application of isopropyl alcohol on a paper towel gets the marks off.
