I looked around but couldn't really find any information about this issue so sorry if its a repeat question.


Why don't photos automatically fill up the entire screen, it doesn't matter if the photo is taken in portrait or landscape mode, there are still huge areas of empty white space around the photos 😵

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if I have to always pinch/zoom every single photo so it takes up the entire screen? I even tried double tapping the photos but then it zooms in far too much.

On my Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus it would take up the entire screen by default if I remember correctly, I always thought the old iPhone did this by default but I don't remember now.

Does anyone know of a photo app for iOS that shows photos in full screen by default?
