Hi,
I've just got the Anker PowerPort Wireless 10 charger for my iPhone X and I'm using Apple's 10W USB Power Adapter. The iPhone X is charging extremely slowly. Is the 10W USB not enough for that? Which wattage do I need?

cheers,
Tex
That wireless charger charges at 5 watts which is the same as the small brick that came with your phone that’s why it charges slow.. It will never charge more than 5 watts no matter how much voltage you send to it. You should of gotten a 7.5watt quick charge wireless charger...

On the link you provided, way down,
The PowerPort 10 Wireless Charger will fast wireless charge Samsung Galaxy S8/ S8+/ S7 / S7 edge / S6 edge+, and Note 5, it will charge other Qi-enabled devices at 5W, therefore it will not charge iPhone 8 / 8 Plus / X at 7.5W speeds.

ah ok ... the 10w in the description is misleading. I’ll return it then.

cheers

So now I have the Mophie 7.5w and it charges about 5% in 20 minutes. Is that the expected charge rate?

cheers

It depends.
If the iPhone battery goes from 80% to 85% or from 90% to 95%, then it is normal as iPhone battery absorbs slower after 80% charged.

While, if it is under 80% range, then it is not normal. It should be 8% -10% in 20 minutes.

All above figures are under the condition that you are not running the games or playing Bluetooth music etc which eat much power.

yeah this was from about 80% to 85%. I'll test with a lower charge. I'm not running any games nor using bluetooth

I'll do more testing
cheers

After some tests, it charges in 20 mins from 40% to 51% so I believe this is ok.

thanks for your help
