I have no issues with battery life. Get yourself a wireless charger and park your phone on it when you aren't using it or at your desk, I rarely go below 75%. Our mentality for the last 10 years has been to use it all day and charge at night or when it runs down, easier to use a series of mini charges.

Is it healthy for the phone battery to just keep topping it off and not let it go through a whole cycle? I always thought you should let your battery drain and then charge it if you can

It would still get through a cycle when it discharges/charges through 100% (even if it's done through let's say five 20% periods basically). In theory it's better to top it off more than running it down, especially all the way down--with the best range for the battery being between 80% and 40% essentially). That said, these days it doesn't really matter how you use it as far as it making a real noticeable practical difference (perhaps short of the extremes of essentially almost always leaving it plugged in or almost always running the battery completely out until the device dies).

I see, I was just curious. I usually let my battery get to about 20% before I plug it in. Now of course there are situations if I know I’m not going to be back home until tomorrow morning I’ll top my phone off to 100% no matter what percentage I’m at. I just wasn’t sure how it would do with battery health

I was wondering this myself. I move mine on and off the wireless charging dock all day. Not sure if this is detrimental to the short or long-term life of the battery?

It’s good for battery to drain it to 10% and charge fully again. Using it like that helps battery life longer.

It resets the battery censor?
If you are taking about calibrating the battery meter, that's not really something that's needed these days, and if one was to do it for some reason it would be once in a rare while essentially. It certainly doesn't have much to do with battery health, and wouldn't make it last longer, but instead would actually be somewhat worse to run the battery down all the way, or close to it, so often (even though it might ultimately not be all that noticeable as far as negative effects might go).

Glad that you find that info, you see now how to charge and discharge.
The info has been known. Doesn't seem like there's anything about discharging down to something like 10% and charging it back up all the way to extend battery life.

Think it only could be an issue if you plan to keep your phone for quite a few years. I’m on an annual upgrade so I think after a year it won’t matter how much you charge it.

It makes no perceivable difference. Charge it however and as often as you like. Many times a day, or overnight, makes no odds. Anything else your hear is FUD spread by the uninformed.

The battery is amazing. Can last me 3 or 4 days without needing a top up.

This is probably the happiest I've been with my battery life in awhile. I wake up at 5:30am, my phone gets plugged into my car around 7am, get to work and work from 7:45 until 5pm without ever having to plug in to charge through out the day. During the work day, I roughly get 5-10 emails an hour from nagios alerts, and I've always felt like an Exchange account kills your battery faster.

Gee the 454 battery life thread on Macrumors. People would save a lot of battery if they stopped putting battery comments on new threads
