iPhone X Pre-order via Apple store app question for first timer

1. I have an $800 gift card with Apple, at check out can I use this on part of the total and the rest on my credit card on file? Do they give u an option to do so at checkout?

2. If I want to pre-order two iPhone X’s do I put amount 2 then checkout for both or do it one by one? meaning finish checkout on first one then order the second one.

1. Your gift card will have to be used to purchase an item now in order for that gift card to be part of your account. (Buy a cheap item and click use gift card in payment options to add). After that your Gift card can be used in conjunction with whatever payment method you have to pay the remaining balance.

2. Once you are in the bag tab, click on edit and you will be able to edit the quantity. initial pre-orders will only allow 2 per person. In order to save time, i would add the color, storage and carrier to your favourites so all you have to do is add to cart and pay. It will save you time.

1. You are given the option to enter the gift card code at check out. If you plan on ordering via the Apple store app, you can actually take a picture of the gift card at checkout and it will pull the amount from there. You can test this yourself. As above stated. Put 1 cheap item in the bag and continue as a check out. Where it says add gift card, there should the a camera icon. Tap on that.

Unfortunately it does look that way. Per Apple's Gift Card minisite Q & A "Apple Store Gift Cards (plastic cards or emailed ones) can be redeemed at the Apple Online Store during Checkout or in an Apple Retail Store at time of purchase"

Nope. Gifts cards are not redeemable for cash.
