Hi,

Have my ten since launch day.
No case no protection nothing.
All scratched frame.
What about the caseless people?
Same condition ?

Mine is still perfect, and I treat it no differently than my 3 year old 6 plus.

Looking at the photos, I would say something is getting at the bands, keys maybe? I don’t keep anything else in my pocket .

The surgical stainless steel used on the silver iPhone X is highly similar to the 316 L stainless steel used on the Apple Watch. Micro scratches are going to be common and it's expected to have minimal scratching without the use of a case.

I have Apple leather case and Apple's anti glare screen protector. I do for all new phones I buy. I am way past the age, to handle a baby.

I used every iPhone without a case a no one looked liked this after 14 days...
Scratches are okay but after 2 weeks?
My iPhone is in my left pocket without my keys.
Only the iPhone is in the left pocket.
I don’t want to put my nice iPhone in an ugly case because I want to feel the material :)

The scratches indicated in your pictures are superficial and are easily removable. Again, it doesn't take much to scratch the Stainless bands on the silver iPhone X, given that you don't know what's in your pocket as far as any debris that you can't see or feel.

I also take good care of my stainless steel Apple Watch I own, but it still attributes minor scratches along the stainless casing. It's just inevitable with the type of stainless being used.

Might be a silly question, but could you varnish/lacquer the frame to protect from basic scratches? Maybe some clear nail varnish :)

My X is still perfect after 15 days. Not one scratch anywhere. I shine a flashlight on my in a dark room to even look for scratches and I’ve yet to have one.

Mine is Space Gray. I use stainless steel wipes every 3 or 4 days to wipe it down, but other then that... I don’t do anything.

I think I have to live with the scratches... :)
After 1 year it will look like an ugly Jet Black 7 all scratched :)

I think to put a case on the device won’t help because of dust between the case and the device.
It will probably look much more terrible when you use a case instead of going caseless.
And I don’t want to put a case on my phone because of the feeling and it looks soooooooow beautiful

I’m a born casehater

Think the space gray is better because you won’t see the scratches so fast.
Every time I bought the black ones but this time it looks a little bit boring.

I absolutely hate cases myself. I can’t ever blame you there. I’ve tried any and all kinds of cases and none impress me.

Thin cases... no
Leather cases ... no
Don’t get me started on silicone.

OtterBox... I’ll never i stand ... same with lifeproof

Buy some “never dull” on amazon, it does magic on the stainless steel of the Apple Watch, so why not also on this phone? It’s a truly surprisingly well working product.

A good alternative is to use an iphone sleeve if you want protection, but still want to feel the actual surface of the phone

I got the space grey bcoz

Before reading all the reports on the net, my applewatch 2 stainless space grey hold up pretty well and no scratch after a year and not as bad as my silver applewatch1 stainless scratches

Now i read reports it is easily scratched i’m bit worried lol

Mine is in a Apple silicone case and no scratches so far. you should try using a case that may prevent it from further scratching.
