I’ve never been a big fan of screen protectors because the previous Belkin ones at the Apple Store didn’t even cover the entire width of the screen and didn’t look the greatest.

But with the expensive price of the X and new price hikes of AppleCare+, I finally considered getting the Belkin Invisiglass protector installed by Apple. I watched the Apple employee install it on a few X’s and I noticed it DOES cover the entire screen a goes about 1mm past the screen for complete screen coverage.

I finally (for the first time ever) got it and it feels the same (if not better) than the regular iPhone screen. Very happy with the look and feel of it. On the “downside” there’s a bit of a gap between it and my case, so dust my have to be cleaned daily, but I haven’t had it long enough to know.

I’m not sure how long it will last but I thought I’d put a poll up (for X owners) on if they’re using a screen protector on this expensive device

I just had to change my screen protector I bought. I just bought the cheapo film ones that came in a 5 pack by SuperGuardsZ from Walmart and I am so protective of this phone it isn't funny. I even bought a loop that sticks to the back of my case so I can hold on to my phone better.

I look down and there is a deep scratch on the screen. I am thinking oh me gee how??? It could have happened sliding it in and out of my jeans pocket. I feared it had scratched to the real screen but it didn't. I put a new one on and goodness gracious I am horrible at applying them straight but I left it just slightly crooked because it stuck well without bubbles. I am glad I am not OCD as it would surely drive some people batty. But never having a screen protector. For me that is a NO WAY!

I wouldn't say that looks better than the bare iPhone screen or even *as good as* the bare iPhone screen as you claim. While it looks decent with no bubbles, from the pic it doesn't look any better than the Anker two pack glass I bought for $7.99 and applied with the guide. It has the same coverage area and looks exactly the same with no bubbles.

At this price, if it gets damaged I'll pull it off and apply the spare. At $40, I imagine many people would leave the Belkin version on even if it's damaged since a second application would cost an additional $40 for a total of $80--for screen protectors.

I live at the beach so sand is everywhere..so yes i use glass screen protectors. Always get them off amazon. most are 2 packs deals for under $10 and even comes with guard you lay on the phone so you don't mess up the install. Never had a issue.

I always use a screen protector. And a case.

For the X, though - I bought a Rhino Shield protector. Not the glass one but a polymer one. I would prefer the glass but their polymer actually does not feel like the protectors of old but it is not quite glass either. Overall, I am satisfied with it and it is staying on (I also bought their Mod case with a clear back).

Why this screen protector? There are multiple video reviews showing people hitting the phone with a hammer straight on the screen and phone not having a scratch. I don't plan to try it but - I thought that was pretty cool so yeah... and I do not buy Apple Care...

My sentiments exactly. I got the same Anker two pack glass and it looks identical to the $40 Belkin in the photo above. Unless it's made of bulletproof glass, that's way too much for a screen protector.

I always use a case but never a screen protector. I don't know how they feel but I think they ruin the look of the phone.

I had an anti-glare protector on until last night (missed the look of the vivid screen without it on). None of the poll options apply to me as I enjoy the feel of the anti-glare and it definitely isn't the first time I've used one but I don't ALWAYS use them either.

Which is safer on a the X. Glass or film protectors? I heard that the film helps with breakage of the screen if dropped. Is this true?
I use glasses. It doesn’t ruin the touch and look of the screen like films. Through the years, I have probably have cracked over 20 protectors, but have never damage the iPhone screen underneath. Just remove the protector, slap another $10 one and as good as new.

Always put a screen protector right after removing the factory tape. I don’t like scratches of any kind. Not even micro abrasions. So I will not have a phone without a screen protector. And I like how the glass protectors feel. I think they feel better then the actual glass. Just my opinion tho.

I picked up RhinoShield Edge 2 Edge tempered glass and I prefer that style over the ones that don’t do E2E so you don’t get the rainbow effect and also why wouldn’t you want the full coverage.

Belkin breaks if you look at it funny. Cheap glass being way overpriced
