I have a reoccurring problem with screen protectors on my iPhone X. After about one month of usage, an air bubble appears on the right upper side of the phone and soon it starts spreading until it looks as shown in the attached picture.

I tried different types of protectors (installed myself, installed by Apple) but the problem happens with all of them!

Has anyone experienced something like this? Could it be heat related? I did notice that my phone gets warm while charging, but I am not sure if that's the problem. I don't really have an apple store nearby so I'm not sure what to do.

Any suggestions appreciated...

How do you store your phone? Front pocket? Back pocket? In a backpack? Also what kind of case are you using?

I always carry it in my front pocket. And I have either an Apple leather case or a thin 0.3mm case. I have been carrying all my previous iPhones like that, always with a screen protector, with no problems... Do you think it could be due to it being slightly bent and twisted in my front pocket?

Thanks btw!

Your welcome. Possibly it’s bent/twisted because I’ve never heard of this happening before.. This is a new one on me. Lay your phone screen down on a flat table without a screen protector to see if it’s bent in any way. At least that way you can tell if it’s a problem with the phone or some other external reason.

Could be the brand of screen protectors and bad adhesive? Have you tried using another brand and seeing if the problem occurs again?

I don't know what to do either. My wife's phone has the same problem. We took it to apple store twice. It has had seven different protectors on it, three different brands and they all come off the same way, in the upper right corner and spreads. The apple store told us it is not a hardware issue with the phone, refunded the $40.00 for the protector and said it wasn't their problem. We felt like they treated us like s---. They were rude and condescending. They also denied that it was a problem with the phone itself when we asked for a replacement.
