iPhone X Speck case in hand @ Walmart

I'm sure there are, but this is the first actual picture I've seen of one in hand
Red is the most gorgeous, eye catching and attention getter color of all colors.

No.
That could have been done for a few different reasons.
Maybe that is because Speck didn't want to put X on the box this early, and people get confused buying the new case for an older phone. It could also be that this allows them to get the product out earlier, without knowing the final name, thus having them from having to redo the packaging.

They still have to redo the name later on. And how are customers will not be confused by the current name "5.8"?
That's what I am wondering, is 5.8 the plus size model? The iPhone X/OLED model better be smaller than that...

That's the case I want, only completely black. Did they have other colors? That's crazy. How did they get away with putting those out on the floor already?

The iPhone X will actually have a bigger screen than the iPhone 8 Plus because it loses the bezels and home button. But the phone itself will actually be similar in size to the current iPhone 7.
Walmart might have been told not to put these on the shelves before a certain date and some employee did anyway. THis happens often with games etc being put on shelves and sold before the official release date.
Has this officially become the least surprising iPhone release? I don’t even think the iPhone 4 the employee left in a bar was this bad
I think the Samsung Note is more of a surprise, and that's already been released!
