OK, so are T-Mobile customers who are on the AUP now able to order online instead of having to go into a store?

I want to order an X at 12:00:01 on Oct 27th :D and I am with T-Mobile.
Have Apple fixed the red tape? Otherwise having to do it in-store means I'll probably be waiting until March to get the X....

Nope it sucks. You must go into the store to order under the Apple program. It’s amazing that Apple and T-Mobile computers can’t talk to each other. Oh well I’m paying full price for mine now. T-Mobile’s IPhone Upgrade program for the 256GB IPhone X is a rip off if you plan to upgrade in a year.

If you are on aup on TMobile, you can do preorder online. Only those new enrollments must go to the store.

Check your apple app.

And that’s the problem. New enrollments MUST go to the store and cannot pre order. There are many people that would like to join the program but cannot preorder.

I don’t disagree with you. I am only answering OP’s question who is currently on aup.

Thanks for the info - I recently got an email from Apple telling me I was eligible to swap my 7 Plus for an 8 Plus - I went through the process via the app to see how far I could get before I actually had to order and yes it looks like it would work fine. So in that case I should be good for the X pre-order.

I do remember originally signing up for the AUP in store which was fine - I had to do it anyway as I was tracking down a specific iPhone 7 Plus via iStocknow and had to go to the store to get it. But it seems first time T-Mobile customers joining the AUP will have to go in store still - once on the program you're good to go.
