My parents are out here for the holiday from Oregon and they want to get an iPhone X.

Oregon is tax exempt and I called 2 stores for them.

One store said that if they show their License then they would create a tax ID which sounds sketchy and they would be exempt another Apple store said they have to pay tax.

Just wanted to know which one to believe?

So they are somewhere outside of Oregon or in Oregon?

I was up there this year and picked up an iPad Pro for my uncle. No tax and an additional corporate discount. No one asked me for an ID.

Cool I’m going to go with them to make sure they get what they need. They are pretty tech savvy but I don’t want them to make a huge deal about tax.
