The blacks on OLED screens are amazing, and I’m sure this will be no exception. Especially with 400+ something dpi.

However, I have always associated them with over saturated colors and less than accurate color overall. Also, burn in.

300 dollars is a high premium on a screen technology that my Galaxy S3 had 5 years ago.

After thinking about it, I am going to stick with my iPhone 7+.

None of the new camera features on the 8 I would use. And while I would like wireless charging how hard is it to plug in a lightning cable? Besides I own all the cables to charge everywhere now and if I got an 8 would need to buy wireless chargers for all the places I charge at.

They should have called it the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus.

Plus I don't like that I would need to downgrade from 128 GB to 64 or upgrade to 256 GB. When I am using only 69 GB now on my 128 GB 7+.

What is Apple thinking?

Who know I am almost out of contract with AT&T perhaps I will move to T-Mobile and get a Galaxy Note 8.

What is Apple thinking?

$$$$

The only part of the iPhone 8 that is even remotely advanced compared to the competition is the facial recognition stuff and A11 chip.

The screen isn't as good.

Wireless charging has been around for ages and apple is doing nothing with it that is special.

The camera will be on a par with the offerings from samsung.

Sub part IP67 waterproof rating.

The only reason they didn't call it the 7S is because there is very little about it that would justify a £100 price increase over the 7 so they are hoping that calling it the 8 will make people ignore the obvious fact that the 7 is a very very very similar phone. Apple used to give us an upgrade every year and maintain the same price point because thats how technology works. Storage gets cheaper per GB, chips get cheaper to produce, you aren't creating a whole new phone each year.

I am really starting to wish that I wasn't so entrenched in the apple ecosystem. I love the fact that apple devices all talk to each other, messages come through on my computer etc but their iPhone line up is getting ridiculous.
