Just watched the keynote and Phil says:
Comes in two beautiful finishes space grey and silver. Each has incredible depth and a pearl essence to the color in the glass.

Don't know if the 8/8 Plus also has this - my space grey just look dull very dark grey to me, with no shine/effect to it. I image the silver would look quite alive/cool with such a subtle effect depending on the light.

More video from the hands-on;

Why is no one wondering why there is no pic or video with the screen on? It makes me think this is a fake clone.
If this is a demo device for a Vodafone store as the thread starter has suggested, they won't be allowed to switch it on and activate it before launch day. Apple will know which unit was activated early, which of their partners was sent that unit, and where it was activated which gets Vodafone and the employee into trouble. A simple photo can't be traced.

SOP for iPhone demo units at launch.

Hnn. Which ones? Ireland maybe, but I can’t think of any other country to be honest.

Italy have funny thin ones like Switzerland I think, and Denmark has a different neutral pin iirc (looks like a smiley face!) but standard 2 pins work from the rest of Europe.

I wish the experience was a little more premium given the price and X moniker for a 10 year anniversary edition phone. I don’t know what that would be but maybe something like the original iPhone that came with a dock. The Apple Watch Edition comes with a dock and we’re not too far off in price here.

I mean... the name of the color is Space Gray. Not Space Black, Black, Jet Black, Matte Black, oily hands black, Black as the night sky or any other type of black. :p That being said, I would have preferred just straight black.

OMG !!! LMAO !!! Your post was hilarious and had me in fits of laughter. :D Thanks for the laughs.

Off topic. Completely against ‘Brexit’ but they’ll never take our 3 pin plugs away from us!

Heard it all now! Brexit means we are losing our plugs!

I’d say staying in the EU means there’s more chance of us losing every last piece of our identity.

They’ve already changed enough for my trade (electrician) they can stick their plugs up their asses as far as I’m concerned!

Didn’t understand a word he said but probably the best hands on as far as comparing the X with another iPhone. This will be my first iPhone in anything other then black or SG; seeing this gets me even more excited that I chose the Silver. Beautiful.

I thought all that writing below iPhone was removed this year.

That might be a Europe or non-US market version... or it might be a fake.

Edit: Yes, it was taken in an EU country. The US version does not have the markings, as we have seen in numerous press videos from keynote day.

Looking at the image of the back of the phone makes me happy I went with the Space Gray. I think all the videos that made the back of the silver seem like a white/off-white were probably inaccurate with artificially-heavily-over-lit locations.

That big black camera oval can only be masked with the Space Gray, it stands out too much to me on the silver. In the first impressions videos at Apple Park, when the display looks "White/Off-White" it is somewhat nice to draw a nice contrast between the Black of the Camera and the white of the back. The silver in this photo makes the Black more of an eyesore.
