over 50 App’s

over 100 text messages/iMessage’s with their own individual media saved ( pictures and videos within messages )

sitting at 168.99GB if available memory

Amazingly at 93% of life left of its original battery

this little device has been with me all over the world ( literally) it has guided/carried me through the complex streets and transit system of japan, China and other parts of Asia. It has been in a small pouch of a dune buggy in 100+ degrees for 12 hours ( riding in the desert ) it has been dropped in water. On the floor. On roller coasters at universal studios & Disney. so much more.

this little device IMO is one of Apple’s best.

exclusively wireless charged. I have one of those chargers that cuts off once the phone reaches 100%.

looking forward to another year with it until the redesigned 12 comes out!

how’s your X holding up ?

How's the screen doing? Any visible burn-in at all? I'm really curious since I just got my first OLED iPhone (11 Pro Max) and wonder how will the screen will hold up over the years.

Why don't you try this image and test on a dark room with the lowest brightness and see if the screen has uniformity issue.

My X turns two years old this month and I couldn't be happier with it's performance over that time. Battery capacity ls at 93% and have had no issues to complain about. I plan on replacing it next year with the next pro release

Just used my last apple care replacement on my 256Gig iPhone X, so now I have a mint condition one again. I dont think the A11 is going to be slow for a while, so I hope to use this one until I cant upgrade iOS anymore

I recently switched back to iPhone from my Galaxy S8+. It's a 64 GB iPhone X I bought off a friend. I found that while you can do everything in Android and be quite happy (my Galaxy is a good phone), and it's great for tinkering, almost every app is a little better on iOS, as is the system itself. That and the seamless integration makes me wonder why I ever switched to Android :). Gonna use this phone for a while till the iPhone gets a significant update, then upgrade to the latest version.

I'm still running my launch day 64GB X and the battery capacity is at 92%. I'm not sure I believe it as its been 92% for over a year and I'm sure the battery life drops quicker than it used to
Apart from that this phone is performing impressively well after 2 years

That's normal. And besides, battery is much cheaper than screen replacement 😉

FWIW I tend to have abnormally long battery life on my devices. Case in point: my ancient 2009 MBP battery is at 90%, and my iPhone 4 (I just stopped using it as it cannot do 2-factor auth) is 92%. My 2.5 yr old Galaxy S8+ is at 98%.

I never charge the phone while it's hot or use it while charging.
Very rarely discharge below 50% (heat and deep discharge are the real killers for Li-ion).
If the (old) device sits unused for a little while I'd leave it at around 60% charge and power off.
Rule of thumb is protect from heat and use with frequent, shallow discharges.

Just putting it out there. Perhaps it does not matter since batteries are so cheap to replace these days.

heavy use of the iPhone? What are your astimate Screentime?

In terms of performance it is holding up fine.

I will replace the battery once it hits 80% as the battery life is a bit of a joke now.

Which wireless charger are you using? I'm interested in auto cut-off.
