Everyone is going to have their own opinion, and by now there are countless reviews on youtube comparing the iPhone X to just about everything from other iPhones to Samsung and whatever else. They debate Face ID, aspect ratio, screen size, etc. I think universally people are surprised at how nice the X is, especially those who railed against it before getting to use one.
For me Face ID is great, the screen is great, the gestures are great, the battery is excellent.
HOWEVER. Like many, I came from a Plus iPhone. 3 years. 7 Plus, 6S Plus, 6 Plus.
Smaller footprint in my pocket - great. And I have large hands. But having something smaller than that behemoth is nice. And all the X features are great to have. Wireless charging is here.
The only thing I don't yet know if I will have an issue with coming from those Plus iPhones is the screen width for the keyboard. And really only for the keyboard. For video, or anything else the new aspect ratio doesn't bother me, nor do I really notice it. I don't have an issue with the notch. But according to one youtube review I saw, the iPhone Plus is a 68mm wide screen and the X is 62mm. It is those 6mm (and yes I put my old 7 Plus side by side with the X) and I can see the width, the larger buttons on the keyboard, and the slightly larger spacing between them.
For emails. For texting. Will those 6mm and narrower keyboard make a difference? Especially after 3 years on the Plus.
